Great stuff. thanks for sharing.

a snapshot of simpler times.
wonderful.

Where was it?

Very cool;
Do you still live in the same town?

This store was set up in Marshalltown Iowa ( middle of Iowa ) , as a few Sicilians migrated here after WW1. They closed the store in 85 as they really didnt want any of the children to run the store, it was the coming of the Quik shops and larger food chain stores that hurt us in this area. Today it is nothing but green space… very sad to see as we come home occasionally to visit the graves. [cry.gif]

I currently live near Omaha Ne

Orange Crush? I always preferred Nesbitts.

Seriously, that’s very, very cool. I wish I had pics of my grandfather’s restaurant(s) over the years. I’ve never even seen one, though I can - in my wackier moments - imagine him, Ioannis Iatropoulos (later John Jattros) shouting “No Coke, Pepsi. No fries, chips.”

Interesting avatar, Nick…er…Bob…haven’t thought about that character in years.

or the theme song , which I just remembered…
