NOSE: oaky milk chocolate; leather/underbrush combo; raspberries; slightly-aged smell.

BODY: sediment present; purple-garnet color of medium-great depth, with hints of browning at the meniscus; medium bodied.

TASTE: acidic; hint of oak; has an overall slightly-aged presence; chocolate-covered raisins on the finish; green olives -- salty; sour loganberry; faintly alcoholic tasting, but not hot; short-medium length finish (25 sec.); Drink now.

B: 50, 5, 11, 13, 6 = 85

thanks for the note Brian...I'm curious if you have an opinon on their other wines, as I have enjoyed them in the past...I've found them to be quite nice, especially the zins, although they can be a bit "rustic"

wow ... if there was ever a TN of mine that I assumed would get zero replies it was this one ... to be very honest, I think their other wines are absolutely horrible. this was the only one of the entire tasting (maybe a year and a half ago) that didn't taste oxidized.

the winemaker is an awfully nice guy, though, and his pleasant personality was the main reason we bought a couple bottles. that being said, just being a nice guy isn't good enough to get my repeat patronage ... and that being said, being an *sshole is enough to not get my repeat patronage. so, moral of story: make good wine, and don't be an *sshole.
