Urbano - Two Doors Down is available that night. Don't know the minimum right now, but we (Bill mainly) can select the menu. I suspect it would be around $55-60/pp. We will need a head count and there will be a commit time, but that all remains TBD. More details to follow. Happy to entertain opinions. I'll talk to Mitch tomorrow.

Updated location to Urbano @ 8PM.

Looks like we will start at a group of 15 and go up accordingly to maybe 20 or so.

Chris is working with Mitch to have a menu for us early next week so we can think about wines.

Also, need to have a firm head count with plus ones by Monday so we can lock down the seats.

Looking forward to meeting some folks I don't recognize.

A few items for those that might not know:

1. The restaurant is the overflow room of Urbano - Two Doors Down, which is two doors down.
2. For those that haven't made the trek before, it is like a bohemian bistro and the building is quite old and so is the A/C. Therefore, I suggest casual, cool clothes. I'll be in shorts and a short sleeve button down FWIW. It won't be unbearable, but don't show up in a coat and a tie.
3. Mitch is trying to make it so the room/restaurant is ours after 8:30. We may not be seated until then. Showing up much earlier may mean a wait outside. It's supposed to be 106 that day. Consider yourself warned. Bill chose August to be born. Take it up with him.
4. I usually bring my own stems, but they have decent restaurant grade Riedels I believe. Quantity is unsure.
5. The area is undergoing gentrification. The key word being undergoing. It's an interesting juxtaposition of cars over there considering the clientele of Urbano.

Any other practical points I'll try to post before Friday. It should be fun!

Bill, I have a 1971 Giacomo Borgogno & Figli Barolo Riserva and a 1971 Bodegas Toro Albala Montilla-Moriles Don PX Gran Reserva standing up in the cellar. Do you want me to put those back and pull a couple of 2001 wines to stay on theme?

Mine will not be an 2001. A complete unkown hole in my cellar. I have like 2 bottles and nothing that interesting or ready - weird. Had no idea. Might go with a 99 Brunello, 2003 Pontet Canet, or a younger Cali Cab if I do not track down some 01s. Just have not decided yet.
