Yeesh. Tune in next week when they have to create a three course meal while juggling and rubbing the belly of a chiwawa.

How much did they pay Gail Simmons to say this was the best season ever? Over/under 8.5K.

I have a feeling Bev won, but I am really hoping it is Grayson.

Gail is a shill.

Big fan, but that was a pretty dumb episode - like riding a bicycle around gathering ingredients is a bona fide chef challenge.

And not getting a winner in Last Chance Kitchen seemed lame.

Worst challenge idea ever. This season is terrible. Why don't they just let these people cook?

They did once and it was one of the best episodes of the entire series. Hopefully they learn from their errors with this season, but I am not holding my breath.

Count me in the "think it's Grayson, hope it's Beverly" camp. And yeah, at this late stage of the competition these kinds of challenges are pretty stupid.

It's a bad challenge, but doesn't hold a candle to gas station/ vending machine challenges.

Was it just me, or was that really bad editing last night? You used to be able to get a feel for which dishes were at the top and which were at the bottom. Based on comments at the dinner and judge's table, Ed seemed to be in the biggest danger due to undercooked chicken. Sara seemed to be second with underseasoned eggs, which was brought up numerous times. Grayson seemed the safest, as Tom liked the flavors of the stuffed chicken breast, but didn't like the butternut squash and tomato combo.

I don't really care who was kicked off, but it is frustrating when you think you at least have a feel for the results, and it's completely different without a lot of explanation.

The judges don't use the same set of criteria to vote on every episode, nor do they necessarily follow the criteria that they set out for a particular episode. It seems like the judges will sometimes give the benefit of the doubt to a stronger chef who has had an off night. I think that's what happened with Ed.

Continuity issues too - noted the judges chatting about the challenge with plates of food in front of them...before they were served anything.

I am not sure Tom has 100% control over the decision now that the person gets back onto the show.

So, my brain goes to what makes for better TV and my guess is the producers will think that is Beverly. 50% of the remaining chefs are not fans of her. Will make for some drama.

I like puppies until they whine and keep up all night or defecate on my carpet. Beverly is more of this than the good part of the puppy. Annoying and whiny.

Based on Tom's critique of the 2 dishes, it seems obvious that Grayson wins; so that probably means it's really Beverly. What I really want him to say, based on that "it's someone who cooks with their heart and soul" or whatever comment, is that they've decided to bring Neyesha (sp?) back instead. But I know that's not the case.

Beverly is very annoying; I really hope it's Grayson that gets back on.

So, now that this season is approaching its end, our initial fears seem to have been quite accurate after all: this might be weakest group TC has yet to put together for a season.

So far, only the Charlize Theron episode has been worth watching. That was the only one where the reveal on each dish elicited a wow from this house... in particular I think Grayson's dish offered the most visual appeal/revulsion. I think old Chef Tommy has had it in for her since the meatball comment. We'll see but we'll probably still have to suffer more Bev ... I do think she has chops but the whining/crying/self-doubt is OTT.

If you happened to see the watch what happens show after the episode, Tom explains that there really wasn't any controversy. Grayson's dish was the least favorite of three of the four judges.

Brad, my issue is the editing & production this year really stinks. That stuff should come out during the show. We shouldn't have to watch stuff online afterwards to try and decipher what just happened.

No argument here. I agree that the editing this season has been terrible, but it's probably deliberate.

I agree.

I am thinking Beverly gets the win but could go either way between the two. The editing has been rocky this year so it's been harder to guess what is going to happen.

Any episode with Bev has too much crying. I figured she was going to win the LCK, but I was still disappointed when she walked through the doors.

Sarah took the cheap way out. I really really hope she is bounced now, even though I like her slightly more than Bev.

A little bit better episode than normal, but that is more of a reflection on how bad the episodes were this season, vs. this being something special.

Hate Lindsay and Fat Sarah. Sarah could have gotten a 30k car and had an 80% chance to make it to the final four and she decided to take the easy way out. Pathetic. Ed was right; it shows she was not confident in her own abilities. Glad that Bev made the top 2 tonight, she showed winning LCK was not a fluke.

If Paul does not walk away with top chef honors, it will be the biggest upset since Richard Blaze choked in his season's finale.
(as an aside, Stephanie Izard's previous restaurant is better than her current foodie hit "Girl & the Goat" but I digress)

I agree, Sara is a pussy.

Paul seems to win every time there is a big cash prize or a big prize up f or grabs. Awesome.

I liked the episode... seeing the mentors was a touching moment. I hated seeing Sara and Lindsey both move on, and I hated seeing Ed leave. I think Paul will win it all.

Although from the preview of the next episode, it looks absolutely ridiculous, apropos of this season.
