LLC belongs on this list. About 10 years ago, K&L was selling mixed cases of LLC from a string of poor vintages 1983, 1988, 1991, 1993, 1994 and 1999. I asked for all of these. Got none. Too slow. Oh well. It was a lot of money for a .375, but basically a third of what a 750 sells for now, for a very nice 15 year old burg. Probably should have asked for them all too! They were a steal, and I never have enough .375s. Exactly, I wish more Burgundy ...

Fantastic CM village from Cathiard, I try to beg for a few bottles every vintage during EP. Realistically this is a 1er Cru CM and priced like one too.

‘07 Mugneret Gibourg Les Chaignots - fantastic showing after being in semi-shutdown stage for a year, elegant interpretation of NSG, continued to improve over 3-4 hours, the last glass was the best.

2007 Vaucrains tonight. Beautiful, delicious and aromatic, lighter weight, with no grumpiness or tannic background. Never really would have placed it as a Vaucrains. I read somewhere (probably Neal Martin), there was a style change post 2000 vintages.

I am consuming a case of 93 Vacrains, could be rustic like Maume , wouldn’t win any finesse contest.

Chevillon is also my 2nd largest holding in Burgundy due to reasonable pricing during EP and easy access for me.

Yes. I agree with Sarah’s view on Osaka. We will be using Osaka rather than Tokyo as the entry point into Japan in future travels.

FWIW, ‘66 Haut Brion, Beychevelle, and Cantemerle are all drinking well this year, great vintage for Bordeaux.

Thanks for the notes, interesting results indeed but not surprised but the great showings of ‘82 PLL and ‘90 HB tho. But I am surprised by the good showings of ‘82 and ‘90 Conseillante against big boys, one of my fav Pomerols.
