Re: Wine And A-Fib?

Thanks all!

Interesting about the dehydration angle. I've always been guilty of not drinking enough water so I've been trying to correct that. I also read about being deficient in potassium and/or magnesium can cause the fib. So I've been experimenting with supplementing them.

Wondering if anyone has experience with wine/alcohol consumption and onset of A-fib/flutter? LONG story short, I've been a high intensity endurance athlete (cycling) for 20 years. Being on a mailing list does not mean you buy every wine every release or any wine any release. It only means you get mailers. Then I misunderstood. That make sense. But I thought the idea was that you were supposed to buy regularly or you got kicked off the list. How do people get kicked off then?...

I've always liked wines from Tensley and they just sent out an e-mail announcing a value priced ($18 or $15.30 club) white and red for sale. They both sound good and based on Tensley's track record with my palate, I'm going to get some of both to try.

Interesting that the only ESJ wine on WB is an 87 Mourvedre that has a current bid of $170. Considering how most non cult older CA wines are available for a lot less on WB, that's a pretty hefty price. Some people know it could be a pretty good/aged ESJ! (NO - this is not my wine listed on WB...)

It's also funny how so many people continue to hold on to the belief that wine pricing is somehow related to the cost (grape prices) of producing it. They are unrelated. Wines are priced at what the winery/business can get for them. It's market driven. The cost of the grapes is only important to the...
