Opened a 16 OMV Zin 2 nights ago. Recent CT notes were spot on. Had a glass Monday night and saved the rest for last night. It really needed that extra day open to strut its stuff. #2 of 12 btls I'll probably check in again next year. No hurry on these

A friend down here in SD got some from the shop in NY and they shipped to him. He must have been one of the first to order it. They did cut his order down and instead of getting 2 I ended up with one. Looking forward to trying it after hearing so much about it

It’s splitting hairs, imo. I always view Vangone as the pure Oakville expression of Sam’s work. Yeah, the MM blend has Oakville Ranch and Weitz fruit, but the flavor profile isn’t pure due to the Las P and Crane fruit. But I think the wine is just a good as MM. For some producers with strong following it could be a windfall selling wine DTC that would have gone to restaurants at lowest wholesale pricing. Had a 17 Vaillons in November down in Loreto MX with some fresh fish I caught prepared as ceviche and fish tacos. It was all great. I expect it to shut down soon and will hold my other two bottles for several years

Yes Cerise, Savoy, Baxter and Goldeneye are all in Anderson Valley

Also the estate Chardonnay and Pinot from Peay are both exceptional also
