I have only ever seen these in store. Agree that they can be incredible values. Usually only when they are trying to close out the last remaining bit of inventory (I’ve never seen one with too much available for purchase).

As Sean said, Felsina is often a mystery wine. I purchased some of the 2016 Felsina CC last November on mystery, though the price was $13.82. Rancia and Fontalloro also usually make appearances at a good price each year. My guess with the chianti offering is that its not Felsina given the price diff...

Fridge would be my guess as well. If you had the thermometer on top it could have been much hotter at the bottom of the cases if the fridge ran a decent amount.

Seville and Madrid are top on my list. Fantastic experiences in both multiple times and would highly recommend both. Agree with the above that Barcelona is cool and well worth a visit, but we felt it was all tourists while we were there in the summer.

Vinous app says it was tasted in June 2016. I’ve found that a couple weeks post coravin is similar to a good decant. One I let go about 2 months was dead - really nothing left. Coravin is great for a taste but in my experience drink within a couple weeks.

Not so much a gift for a special occasion but was given bottles of 1990 and 1992 Dom Perignon by my in laws that had been given to them years ago since they don’t really drink. Weren’t stored that well but the ‘92 was stunning. Looking forward to the ‘90 later this year.
