Re: Explain Like I’m Five: The Method to Your Madness in Standing Wines Up Before Consuming

Been using a wire mesh filter to catch larger pieces of sediment on pours of older reds. When I get to the bottom 1/3-1/4 of the bottle I am using the unbleached coffee filters. This worked well for an 84' Spottswoode I had two weeks ago.

Second year on the list and I was only allocated the Reva this time. Glad I got my order in before they sold out. I was hoping to get some Seymour or Lorraine, maybe next time. I bought 12 of the 2014, and have some 12's, 13's and 15's so my Reva stock is doing well. A few '13 pandoras as well. I'v...

Really truly wish I had jumped on their futures program earlier into my wine buying. These are such great values to hold. Yeah, happy I did (2013 my first vintage). Funny, though, everyone thinks they are a huge value as futures, but also complains every year when the price goes up [soap.gif] We li...

My two cents, I believe we are going to see the beginning of lots of nickel and dime fees across the board from businesses that are suffocating to survive through this pandemic. I am not a fan of nickel and dime fees. I would rather see higher prices than add on fees. That is the 'hospitality' biz ...

84' Spottswoode. I opened one of these in May and the bottle was over the top. Fruit was gone and it was just not as pleasant as could be. This bottle jumped out on the nose as soon as I removed the cork. Took a sip and found it to be quite large. Came back for another sip 20 minutes later and it st...

How do their list prices compare to retail? Is there a automatic or minimum purchase? I can't speak for retail pricing as I don't look for it there. There is a 3 bottle minimum order requirement on the order form. The form doesn't specify whether that's 3 bottles of HM or NV. At $130 a bottle, this...
