Re: Just got on the Cayuse mailing list

I signed up in late 07/early 08 and have received no offer yet. Still holding out hope. I emailed to inquire about my status and was told I would not be added and there was no way to tell when I'd be added. A bit of a disappointment given the timing of when I signed up relative to what others who h...

Re: Spring 2011 Alban offer

Wow, wasn't the 2006 Reva $74. 27% increase? Not to mention the crazy shipping prices. If that is correct, maybe it's the inevitable tariff for the 100/97 scores from the big 2 critics for the 2006. You are correct on the pricing - my CT records say: 2005 Reva - $80 2006 Reva - $74 However, my allo...

Spring 2011 Alban offer

The current offer arrived yesterday via snail mail and includes the 2007 Reva ($94) and 2009 Roussanne ($48). The 2007 Pandora is also included in the release, but I wasn't offered any. I am taking my max of 6 Reva and 6 Roussanne. In California, shipping is $14 for the first 2 bottles and $2.50 per...

Sounds like CT needs a new flag - BWB (Bought While Bombed). 50% of my purchased would be BWB. [cheers.gif]

Re: Kapcsandy...

Amid the clamor around the $100 price increase for the Grand Vin, I would like to point out that if you bought the GV/Estate Cuvee package, the Cuvee pricing was $110/btl. I bought the Cuvee back in November for $135 from the winery, so the $25 reduction was a bit of a surprise, given that it receiv...

anyone know where you are to go after you log in? Wine shop? are other folks allocations listed? I see nothing... Wait for the actual email (which I just got). That will give you the link. If you use the link within the email, be sure to check that it logs you into the correct account. I used this ...

Re: Paso Robles inn/hotel/B&B/restaurant recommendations

Chris: My wife and I loved this place a few years ago - http://www.the-carlton.com/ It's located right off the 101 in Atascadero, about 10 minutes south of Paso. The hotel was built in 1929, but was renovated in 2005, so it is not your typical hotel. I highly recommend it and they look to have avail...

Re: Gramercy John Lewis Release Offer 2008

I had the '07 Gramercy John Lewis syrah a few months ago and it was a WOW wine for me. I drink a lot of domestic syrah and the JL stood out from the crowd in terms of balance, depth and purity. Without question, the '07 was one of my top five domestic rhone varietals in 2010, along with the followin...

Re: Alban Fall Offering

I requested 9 Lorraine and 9 Seymour's back in November, but I just heard from the winery today that I'm only getting 3/3. I guess I should be a little relieved since it would have been close to $3k if the full request had been granted.

That's odd because I signed up in August 2007 and am still on the waiting list. I even checked in with them this past October to make sure they had not forgotten about me.

Just received a nice "thank you" package from the Pisoni/Lucia folks. Such a class act and great wines to boot. It is these types of gestures - connecting with your customers and showing your appreciation for their business - that develops and supports loyalty. The calendar is nice too. T. +1 It wa...

Re: Alban Fall Offering

Sorry - should have added that this arrived via snail mail this afternoon in southern California. John's letter says that the 2006 harvest yielded as much Lorraine as 07, 08, and 09 will combined. Same with the 2006 Seymour's in terms of future release quantities. It sounds like this could be the ye...

Holy cr@p I got an envelope today! I got an envelope today too, with a long rambling letter discussing Dennis Hopper and the TTB among other things followed by an offer to buy an as yet unnamed wine to the tune of $145/bottle. I was added to the waiting list on July 20, 2006 so I'm still receiving ...
