Seems your electricity bill would probably be cheaper buying a wine storage unit than trying to keep your whole house at 70.

You did say you want 500 btls.
Guess it depends where the house is, geographically speaking.

A question and a suggestion:

Question - what exactly is the difference between the questions and answers in 4 & 5?

Suggestion - for the next quiz, why not simply edit your first post to add in the answers under the questions?

Adam,

Had the Alicante Bouschet last night and absolutely loved it! Big flavors of cocoa, black fruit but still displays a brightness (happily surprised that it comes in at under 13%) that keeps it from going into sweet/cloying territory.

Excellent job on this one! Gonna have to re-up.

Tom,

No real technique to speak of. We save the liquid from canned chickpeas in a glass ramekin, cover and store in fridge. Use about 1/2 oz. In a cocktail to get a beautiful, super white, thick head on our Sours.

Equal parts:

Blended Scotch (Famous Grouse is recommended and that’s what we used)

Sweet Vermouth

Bitter Cherry Liquor

Can anyone offer some opinions about these wines? Richard, Don’s Pinots are beautiful. Definitely more on the restrained side with a cooler climate personality. For the most part, you’ll find more earthy, savory notes intermingled with bright, red fruit. Not over the top at all. Hope that helps.
