Agree with all the above, but I was thinking the other day that I get much more bang for the buck out of a $75 bottle of bourbon than I do out of a similar priced wine. And even with secondary pricing the same goes for a $200 bourbon vs a typical Napa cab. Maybe if the only options are Napa Cabs. T...

Agree with all the above, but I was thinking the other day that I get much more bang for the buck out of a $75 bottle of bourbon than I do out of a similar priced wine. And even with secondary pricing the same goes for a $200 bourbon vs a typical Napa cab.

I usually pour Rittenhouse, but did like Old Forester. I don’t think that Canadian whisky is a good substitute as they seldom have a good slug or rye even though they are colloquially known as “rye” because they have a little dollop of rye That was only in reference to wasting money on Old Overholt...

Have had the BM reserve a couple times now, and is quite good . A strong dose of Carmel and brown sugar and pecan.A definite step up from the the reg Belle Meade

For sipping Sazerac and Elijah Craig, if you can find it.Cocktails , Rittenhouse is the clear winner.Knob Creek single barrel 115 proof is really good as well.
