Designer for hire

I'm looking to further build up an industrial and graphic design portfolio as well as web design portfolio in my spare time. I'm currently employed full time, but am looking for a way to support my cellar, keep me from spending all my time on the internet, and have something productive to do. Servic...

"Branding." I hate that word. It's the cultivation of a product, especially in a high end market, to cater to a specific set of consumers looking to buy as a status symbol, more than an indicator of quality. They want their wine in a specific tier of wines, and think they can compete, despite obviou...

First Time to Champagne, Chablis, and Paris... Hell, first time to France!

Hi all, I'm leaving in a week for a walking tour through Champagne and Chablis (Sept 1-7) with a long weekend in Paris afterward (flying back on the 11th) I've quoted the itinerary below, just wondering what I should be expecting/does anyone know these producers. Thanks! -Scott DAY ONE: Hotel Le Mar...

NICE dry hopping Scott! Been plucking Cascade hops from the one plant that produced a boatload in my yard this year. I've been a fan of Tribouley wines since I tasted their Carignan, Les Bacs V.V. and L'Alba last Fall, but over the weekend our store was privileged enough to receive a shipment of Tribouley 2008 Champ Del Petayre. I think the 800k is an average, depending on the yearly yield, etc. In any case, I would imagine that middle to large cities see around 500-1000 cases (especially if they're in local grocers, I know in our store alone there are significant numbers throughout the year, and we're one of dozens in the ...
