Yup - I think the 91-96 wines are all great (haven’t tried the 97). I believe they were made by Helen Turley.

Absolutely agree with the thoughts here. I've been buying his Volnay villages and 1er Champans almost every year. His 2007 Champans has been lights out delicious since release.

2013 Patrick Javillier Meursault Les Tillets - the more I drink of this producer, the more I fall in love. Wide open, round with excellent fruit with a touch of buttery minerality. Perhaps not carrying the chiseled acidity the strongest vintages provide, but a wonderful drink nonetheless.

Actually, it looks like the specific wine that Herwig drank is $220 on the 'sample' list provided on the Atomix website. It's the PYCM P-M Les Folatieres that's $800.

This also happens frequently with the Acker web/online auction. For example, there are cases of Morlet Family Vineyards wines for sale in the current auction. My guess is that the winery can't sell them through the tasting room or normal distribution channels and looks to recoup something at auction...

I agree with ¥ 0 ñ 9. Typically see 3-5x on lists with the occasional 1.5-2x at some wino-centric places. My limit for buying is typically ~2.5-3x based upon the situation. Anything higher than 3x for more expensive wines and I'm not ordering off the list.
