Re: Bias from Wine Critics?

Thanks for this great information Nate. So it sounds like there is evidence (he was tested) that Laube is indeed hypersensitive to TCA. As i posted earlier in the thread that according to WS (as reported by JL): "So Wine Spectator had ETS Laboratories test seven Montelena Cabernet samples; five of t...

I have some stuff that is supposed to come from Garagiste still... If they don't ship by end of spring season i am canceling my orders. Much of their offerings are made before in warehouse. Traffic to the erp site has slowed (some have told me), especially before the latest WA Bordeaux WILD scores. It is true that he is much more active than before. Still not as active as he was on that Joe James "Bloggers are Terrorists" thread, but still active. Do you really think Parker's scores a...

I remember when Laube rated the 01 Montelena 69 points. My only reaction was that he should give himself a 69 before he gives that great wine a 69. Great point Ken. In the larger market I think it will eventually go the way of Merlot. It will get overplanted and the swill factor will dominate the market. I mean, Gallo planted crap loads in Bakersfield. Terrific wine. There is a reason retailers couldn't keep it stocked out here. I bought a ton. Nice future, but just not ready yet. Jack is right, it will get even better. I found the wine best on day 3 with no sign of oxidation. Love the wine, what I don't get is how Jack stumbled onto the truth!!!...

IMHO, the suggestion that Parker’s integrity is for sale lacks intellectual honesty and is grossly unfair. He receives over $5,000,000 in subscription revenues alone. Add in speaking engagements and other activities, which would add more to the pot. Every meal, trip, lodging he accepts for free, is...
