Re: Martinelli & Turley Zins

I am curious what you would pair with the wines? I just drank a couple of Turleys with chili on Super Bowl Sunday - a 2008 Hayne and a 2014 Old Vines. Both were really spot on with a little spiciness in the chili. I think the Old Vines is a great value, and becomes a really nice wine at 5 or so yea...

Re: Terrien Wines - dynamic pricing and 50% disco

Opened one tonight on a whim, with some Indian food. Prior to B-Day, had zero familiarity with this producer (actually never heard of them). "Impressed" would be an understatement. This wine is killer, an acid trip for white Burgundy lovers, at a crazy price. I'm a fan. Posted my CT note to Wine Talk.

TN: 2015 Terrien Wines Chardonnay (USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley)

Pretty much blown away by this wine, a speculative buy on B-Day from a producer with whom I was totally unfamiliar. The QPR meter melted on this one. Very happy to have more. 2015 Terrien Wines Chardonnay - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley (2/13/2020) First experience with this producer...

Drew, based on my experience with these wines, I would say open one of your choosing soon and see what you think. These have a rather graceful age trajectory to them. In other words, I think you can’t go wrong drinking or holding, just depends on your tastes.

It has always seems to me that if corks are indeed permeable, you should be able to pull a cork out of a bottle of (red) wine, cut the cork in half, and see red wine staining the interior of the cork.
This, in reality, does not happen.

My older Le Cache is old. I mean, it's really old. Like circa 1993/94. I have replaced the cooling unit previously, a number of years ago.
