I've had many <13% ABV wines, many from darlings of the IPOB cultists, that were unquestionably unbalanced. So there's that.

OK, bumping this because is actually DID reload! I think a lot of people here will appreciate these wines. Low-alcohol across the board, nice acidity, nice people as well. The 2017 SRV Zin (first I’ve opened from the new release) is lovely.

A nearby restaurant had a Syrah I loved, that nobody ever ordered off the list (you know, the old Syrah/syphilis thing). Anyway, over a few months I bought their entire supply from the wine director.

He tells you the vintage, where the grapes come from, and gives you a tasting note (for what that’s worth)....

As a fan and pretty regular buyer of Turley, I didn’t think twice when ordering a six pack of wine from them a few months ago during their Spring release. I asked them to hold it at the winery, which I usually do, since it gives me an excuse to travel up to the Amador area, and saves on shipping as ...

Thanks, Brian. I’ve found that this really does benefit from an extended decant, as recommended by Steve Eisenhauer. The first time I tried it, I give it the full six hours that he recommended. I would not have thought to decant a nine-year-old wine that far in advance. Turns out he was spot on. I t...
