Any good plastic wine glass options for picnics?

We picnic often and I need to upgade what we drink out of now but need to stay with plastic.

these are rellay good.

We have a set we bought from Crate and Barrel years ago. Polycarbonate (Lexan). we wash in dishwasher and they still look great. Same ones not available now.

But, if you are going to be packing them around, go stemless. The Govino suggested above look really nice.

Just remember Go Vino are not dishwasher safe.

Blah blah blah. Plastic sucks and kills the wine and whatever else people will say. Now that that’s over:

Another vote for GoVinos. We love ours.

Govino all the way!

And we run our Govinos through the dishwasher. No problems yet, just put them on the top rack.

Love the Govino’s, but we have a number of mutant forms from a nuclear accident in our dishwasher. pretty sensitive to your home water temp, so I’d err on the side of hand washing or upper rack with lower home water heater temp.

One of the girls in our dog training club found a bunch of wine glasses at the dollar store. These are like a wine glass enclosed within a clear standard cup and also have a sippy-type lid . The lid is useful around here due to bugs! We have whole cabinet full down at the kennel now. She bought them to be funny but they ended up being very useful!

Yet another vote for the GoVino. Have only used up North, no dishwasher, so can’t speak to that issue. They are great for boating (no stems), and feel and perform like a “real” wine glass. We also have some of the Tervis type glasses that Annette references. Also good, though doesn’t really mimic that “real” wine glass. The insert makes for good portion control, as I’m otherwise tempted to overfill a normal Tervis tumbler. Some insulation keeps the wine at the right temperature longer. Fit well in cup holders.

We like the GoVino, just don’t put them in the dishwasher.

If plastic, I still like these: http://www.supplycity.com/disposables/plastic-drinkware/tumblers/7-oz-clear-plastic-savvi-tumbler-500-per-case

Best,

FYI the Govinos are on sale at Crate and Barrel for $10.36 per four pack, with $4.95 flat rate shipping for as many packs as you want.

Since I’m enough of a geek to want stems on the plastic glasses, I found these at Cost Plus and have been pretty pleased with them:

Bruce

A roof top bar here in town uses the stemmed plastic glasses like or similar to those Bruce. I found the lip to be too thick. Are those glasses thick? It would be nice to have stems sometimes.

Kris, I’ll yours and raise you these:
