TN: 2007 August West Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard

And my ‘ride’ continues…

  • 2007 August West Pinot Noir Rosella’s Vineyard - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands (12/14/2014)
A pretty color of dark crimson with burnt umber edges. Nose of cherries, dark berries and cardamom. Nose shows a nice sweet & cool fruit style that is both very focused & fragrant. Palate delivers some creamy black-red fruit with a very silky texture; mouthfeel is very pillow-like and tannins seem pretty fully resolved. Acidity is spot on and overall this whole ride is very conveyor-like. It never lets off and move in a very poised and elegant way toward the back of your palate. Finish continues the ride and sends you off with the promise of even more on next sip. When I last spoke to Ed Kurtzman about this wine he told me that ‘these are in a very good place right now’. I guess I am saying the same thing just with a lot more…words. That’s me, ‘wordy’. (94 pts.)

Good stuff, I have already depleted the few of these I had :frowning:

Me too.

Mine are long gone but I enjoyed every bottle!

Wait, there is actually a bottle that everyone else has consumed before Pobega? Impossible.

Just got shipment of 2013’s. Will race you!

I have one of these. Sounds like I need to put it in the queue.
