TN: 2000 Château Branaire (Duluc-Ducru) (France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien)

Stunning wine - ready to go with 20 minutes of air. Fruit, earth, mineral and plenty of acidity to keep it fresh. Drying tannins so will go quite a bit longer but very, very good now.

Everything I love about bordeaux is in this wine - mature fruits, chalky tannin and voluptuous earth. Fantastic wine and well worth the wait. Bought en primeur - first and only time.

Thanks for the note! Think I have a couple of these lurking about. [cheers.gif]

That estate is very consistent in its quality.

I think this is just entering its early drinking window and will mature for a long time to come.

Thank God, finally a 2000 I can open. champagne.gif

Tom, muchas gracias for the note. [basic-smile.gif]

Thanks, indeed! Started collecting…late…around the 2000 futures campaign.
Looking forward to opening these and others!
