Wow…just a good reminder of how frequent and common it was for these things to happen back them…when “everyday” people used to be able to afford these wines.

I agree with with Kirk, what used to be a special occasion wine is now maybe once in a lifetime.

Wow, a vertical tasting of Lafite! Kind of makes me sick in retrospect as I could have, with a little effort, attended that event. Kind of like knowing about Microsoft in 1982 and not buying any.
