2013 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This Cabernet opens up rather slowly, but man does it evolve into something special in about an hour. Deep and rich with luxurious wild berry, crushed rock, creme brûlée and black licorice nuances. Firm with gripping tannins and vibrant acidity on the palate, leading to a pure, lingering finish of raspberry and black cherry dominated fruit. This is an opulent wine with noble structure. Perhaps I am being conservative with my score but I’ll go with 94.
