Seems like Zach Velcoff is no longer with Maison Ilan?

Apparently I'm lazy, have a narrow agenda, and offer little in the way of content and substance (RMP) (and have a "penchant for gossip" -KBI)

For all you folks who have their MI wines, you should give a big thanks to Zach. He certainly made my life easier when I was dealing directly with the MI shipping logistics.

What the heck is AngelList? I received the same invite, but am loathe to connect to yet another social media list.

In one of his other essays (if that's what they are) he has a passage that reads:
The event wasn’t slated to start for an hour, and in about half an hour, I got an unpleasant phone call. I took this call in the stairwell off the lobby, where one of the evening’s emcees walked by and heard me say something along the lines of, “He’s f*cking slime, his harassment is unacceptable, and it needs to stop.”
Made me wonder....

My guess is that he is reinventing himself as a TV food and wine personality. He was always good at that, even if he failed to live up to most of his other ambitions.

Who knows, he may want to interview me one day:)

He doesn't have the personality for that.
I heard him read from his book and he was a monotone reader with no timing and lacked the ability to read with expression.

What I presume Bill is alluding to is along the same lines as the rumors I was given early this morning by two folks from two different countries (in no particular order, and not necessarily combined), that Ray has fled the country, that the government has locked the doors to Maison Ilan, that all assets of the corporation are locked pending a divorce, and that if you have wines awaiting delivery, get them as soon as possible.

Doesn't Maison Ilan have investors? I would think that locking the doors to a corporation that is not wholly owned by the parties to a divorce proceeding would be highly unusual and you'd also be crippling the business. There's something more to this story.

Won't be the first time he threatens to sue me, but I don't care anymore (I did state it is a rumor, for what it's worth), and the 'again' comes with facts - there are court records of a previous domestic abuse case

Delivery of 2014's?

Did anybody really order any more wine after the 2012 vintage?

This guy makes Premier Cru look forthright.

Rumored the 2014 and 2015 wines are locked in the abbey, abandoned, as Ray no longer has access to the abbey where the wine caves/storage are.

should see his soon to be ex wife's facebook account for more info as she speaks on the issues of domestic violence and leaving a country with her children without approval from the other parent. In particular the treaty between France and the US that requires a court to allow her to leave france to go back to America with her children because she is in direct harm.
