Got two bottles a few days ago, and opened one today.
After removing some dry dirt, the mostly moist cork came out, only using cork-screw.
Aromas of fermenting cabbage, and chlorine initially. Then barnyard, spices, and red apple peel.
Color is light brick (light garnet) all the way to the rim.
First sip gives spices and mild acidic wild strawberries and cherries. At first, the acid seemed high, but it blew off, and left this light bodied wine with secondary, and tertiary, tones. Much of the nutty, and mixed dried fruits (dades, figs, prunes…) flavors.
Aftertaste is actually long and many facetted.
Not a sweet girlie wine, but I like these very mature ones. Absolutely a fine drink, and the next bottle will be drunk soon.
I would guess it was at peak performance some ten to fifteen years ago.
Now, after 4 hours, one glass left, and it’s still delivering.
Regards, Søren.
