I really should let these age a few more years, but how possible to do that when they’re so scrumplitious. As this one was. Fresh and vibrant describes both the bouquet and the palate here, it’s all one harmonious whole, with racy acidity, a wonderful strong pink grapefruit coulee and twinge of very fresh pineapple and minerally feel and finish. Perfect for a summer day, and held completely focused through 2 days’ of air in the bottle.

I’ve never opened one young, assuming they’d be tight and a waste of a good bottle. My next purchase will include a couple for early consumption.
Has anyone opened one with a little age? Do they shut down? I have typically waited 10 years.
