I know that we do not pay any attention to critics on this site, and I know that scores have drifted up from a decade ago, and I should mention that I have been a Torrin fan since Scott started his label.
It caught my notice when Jeb Dunnuck posted an article recently reviewing a 10 year vertical of Torrin Akasha and Maven:
You need to be able to log in to see the scores, which are all quite excellent including two 100’s, for the 2010 Akasha and the 2015 Akasha (not yet released).
If I were the winemaker, this would put a smile on my face. Scott works hard and deserves some recognition every now and then.
Congratulations Scott.
I don’t have a dunnuck membership, but if anyone does, hypothetically if you had the option to pick up some 2008 or 2009 Maven would you buy it (assuming you like Torrin generally)?
