Jame Cote Rotie 2015

First the nose was dominated by green bell pepper. Is this from the stemms? Or what is this? Anyone knows? Or is it just closed down right now? Many hours later other it opend up with other more pleasant aromas. But it never sang as other reviews. But very good structure in the wine otherwise. Perfect acidity. From half bottle.

Jamet?

Raffault

We be Jamin’…Jamin’… hope you like jame too.

At least the wine wasn’t jammy.

Jasmin?

Stemmy.

I may go grab some!

If you can find it!

Jean-Paul or Jean-Luc?

Picard

Locutus

Yes I’m talking about Jean Paul Jamet.

It puts the Cote Rotie in the basket, or it gets the hose.

J’aime Jamet mais je n’ai pas bu le 2015.

I had a similar experience with the 2013. Loads of green pepper when first popped and not particularly thrilling. Drank about a quarter of it and 6 hours later (and a couple jostles in my bag) it was incredible. These things just need a lot of air.

Ponty?

Sartre, and Ponti, actually, I think.

[pillow-fight.gif] If you have 2015 Jamet, why on earth would you waste it by drinking it now? Only Fu has enough bottles to blow one on release…

Unless it’s actually Jean Luc Picard Jame, of the small town of Cornas on the outskirts of Saumur.

Captain Kirk would drink it. He likes it green.

Echoing Fu’s note on these needing a lot of air. Definitely a beauty after at least 10-15 years of age, lesser green notes, much more structured elegance.
