Amicus Brief for Supreme Court Wine Case

Wanted to let all the Berserkers know about this before the announcement next Monday:

In addition to an Amicus brief by the National Association of Wine Retailers, there will be an Amicus that specifically addresses consumer-issues in the Byrd v Tennessee case coming to the Supreme Court. Funded 100% by consumers and addressing how wine shipping bans are both unconstitutional and harm consumers.

This case is the one that could decide if the many discriminatory state bans on consumers receiving shipments from out-of-state retailers are unconstitutioinal.

We’ll officially announce this campaign on Monday via press release, social media and email. The first 50 people that donate $50 get their name on the Amicus brief. And we’ve got a great duo to write the brief: Attorneys Robert Epstein and Alex Tandford who helped bring the Granholm case to the Supreme Court and who recently won a retailer wine shipping case in Michigan.

Am looking forward to reading the brief.

Jayson,

You’ll see it! Spread the word on the funding campaign.
