What a ravishing and awesome Champagne! A bigger wine than the 2008 DP opened a day earlier the acid to fruit balance is similar and I agree with FU that the acidity here has settled nicely since release. Based on the fabulous 96 that we opened at Quince a few weeks ago the 02 posses a similar profile and will develop into an equally profound bottle.

I love this one! Great Champagne.
I love this Krug as well. It has all of the right parts in the proper proportions, great persistence on the palate. The 2002 Krug will definitely get better over the next decade. The hard part will be keeping my hands off of it. Cheers

Yes! Fleshing out, showing more wonderful honey ginger creme and lemon butter…nuanced ox…in step with the intense citrus acidity that’s giving up some grip!
