TN: A few 15 burgs

2015 Barthod Bourgogne “Les Bon Batons”

This is basically village quality Chambolle; and priced accordingly. The vineyard is just outside Chambolle proper. Beautiful aromatics with sold cranberry and other red fruits on the palate. Depth on the palate with more lovely crunchy red fruits. Good length and elegance. Drinks like good Chambolle villages; a bit steep now around $50 but worth it imo.

2015 Mugnier Nuits St Georges 1er Clos de la Marechale

From 375. This is in an great place right now. Classic Mugnier, despite being one of their entry level cuvees. Lovely aromatics with tart dark and ripe red cherries, incredible elegance on the palate with a relatively light touch but abundant fruit. Dangerously easy to drink but with good complexity and a long finish. Glad I stocked up.

that’s a couple, not a few–but nice notes. I like Mugnier’s Maréchale—05 drinks well now.

Agree with your verdict on the 2015 Maréchale - one of the best renditions to date. I bought magnums!
