2004 Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Madonna del Piano - Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino (2/21/2019)
Outstanding wine. Still a baby but great balance, extremely smooth, earth and herbs and a bit of forest mushrooms to go with some red fruit. Earthy with stuffing to it. Strong acid background a la Sangiovese but not over the top as in Chianti Classico. (94 pts.)
