TN: 2005 Myriad Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

A little piece of history.

The first vintage of this wine.

Decanted for about 45 min while I grilled the steak.

Beautiful nose of currants, cassis, and a little hint of chocolate. Lovely pure fruits on the palate with perfectly integrated tannins. Silky smooth finish that was immensely long. Great power and energy. Honestly very few Napa Cabs are at this level imo.

Thanks for posting. I have one bottle left of the original release. Have been wondering when to open it.

I also have one bottle of this left and I have been holding on to it, no plans to open it any time soon. Figured it would be fun to see how it develops long term.

You two have way more self control than I do!!!

I’ve had the ‘05 Myriad Spring Mountain cab (although it’s been 5-6 years). Is this the same wine, or a different one altogether?
