TN: Bedrock Chard Chuy '17...(short/boring)

Tried this last night w/ dindin:

  1. Bedrock Chard Chuy MoonMtnDist/SonomaCnty (14.5%; Plntd: early '70’s; Frmd by Chuy Ordaz; Aged: old Fr.oak + Stockinger/Austria) 2017: Med.gold color; strong toasty/Fr.oak ripe/Chard/melony/bit spicy/nutmeg/cardamon light chalky/mineral quite attractive nose; fairly tart/tangy/bit metallic strong ripe/Chard/melony/slight herbal slight spicy/nutmeg strong toasty/Fr.oak structured attractive flavor; very long/lingering fairly strong toasty/Fr.oak ripe/melony/Chard bit spicy/cardamon finish; a fair amount of toasty/Fr.oak but good acidity & balance w/ loads of ripe/Chard fruit; quite an attractive young Chard that should still be going strong at 6-10 yrs down the road. $35.00

A wee BP:

  1. Thing this is the first Bedrock Chard I can recall having. It’s a very good/solid Chard that reminds me a lot of young Hanzell Chard because of the structure but with a bit more subdued fruit.

Thanks for the note Tom! I recently tasted in their room on the square and was impressed with this chard and bought a couple bottles.
