2013 Bevan Cellars Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard - USA, California, Napa Valley (5/20/2019)
Massive wine, but miraculously not out of balance. It’s a little too sweetly fruity on entrance for my taste, but it round into form in the mid-palate. The finish is the best part, as the sweet fruit picks up more focus and structure. This isn’t really my sort of thing (it’s much bigger than the Ontogeny), but it’s very high quality.
