2016 Matthiasson Chardonnay Linda Vista Vineyard - USA, California, Napa Valley (5/23/2019)
Opened yesterday. Remains one of my favorite CA Chards for less than $30. This has a core of spicy yellow apple, pineapple, pear and a light vein of mineral cutting through it. The lemony acidity here also lifts the wine into a long finish. No viscosity here and I cannot sense any oak imprint, which leaves the wine tasting clean, vibrant. Delicious.
