TN: 2007 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos

  • 2007 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos - France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru (6/7/2019)
Last bottle of three…first one in 2013 was amazingly fresh and everything you’d want in GC Chablis…next in 2015 was poxed…drinkable, but definitely advanced…this last bottle probably somewhere in between. Whiff of sherry on the nose…reminds me of an older Krug…the fruit is waxy apple and ripe pear, with nice sour and tart green apple…GC weight with vanilla butter creme, aged dried honey and nuts…yet still tingly fresh with a burst of energetic lemon citrus, and chalky limestone dust…perfect sea air funk as well. If you don’t pre-jack yourself on the nose…it gains and gains…and is a very acceptable, slightly aged Clos, that pleases. If you spent Rav $, you’d be disappointed…but Fevre $…happy! (93 pts.)
