2015 Myriad Cellars Syrah Halcon Vineyard - USA, California, North Coast, Yorkville Highlands (6/13/2019)
This wine holds a special place for me personally as I foot tread the t-bin of the fruit that went into the whole cluster portion of the blend. Followed over several days. Black as night, nose of dry aged beef, blueberry, mushroom and sage.
Palate loaded with roasted meat, blackberry, bacon fat, dark chocolate, crushed rock and iron. Turns briny with touches of leather and graphite leading to a grippy finish. Juicy and ripe.
So many layers to this wine so much upside.
