If you have a temp alarm for your cellar-what are you using?

thanks very much

I use the Wireless Sensor tag in my two home cellars and in my lakehouse cellar. They are easy to setup and wonderfully reliable and work off home WiFi.
There is a great iOs app too. More information at http://wirelesstag.net/

La Crosse remote temperature and humidity sensor. I have two sensors on the system one for each storage location in my house (wine cellar and wine fridge)

SensorPush

If you are serious and in for the long haul, which I finally decided I was [rofl.gif]

Quit the weather stuff and buy http://wirelesstag.net/ Or, there is something similar. But it’s worth the maybe twice the initial price to get something like these that just works.

Wireless sensor tag. I use it in USA and France. I also use their water sensors for leak detection too in both countries. I use a number of their other products.

This. Cheap and easy. I put redundant sensor tags in different parts of the cellar. I buy them in a quantity of 5. They are inexpensive and work great. I got rid of my Lacrosse system for this and haven’t looked back. I have a liquid monitor too in a bottle of wine I have rigged up. That one did cost a few bucks. Everything is under $70 per item even the liquid sensor. The tags can be obtained for about $25 each.

Re: wireless tags. Do you just connect it to your home WiFi and it’s good to go or is it more complex than that?

I use SensorPush and couldn’t be happier. http://www.sensorpush.com/

Takes about 5 minutes to setup - super easy!

That and download the app

I have a Ubibot. Very happy with it.

Thanks for the replies.

So if I do this and I’m overseas, but still with an internet connection, I’ll be alerted about temperature, humidity and movement of the tag?

these look great

Hmmm- how easy? My WiFi signal in the basement is not strong due to distance, concrete walls, etc. Do you do a manual connection to the router?

Yes

no, you need to buy one of their proprietary tag manager (hub) that must be plugged into your router and that connects wirelessly to all the sensors.

I am having trouble with wireless tags. I am getting multiple out of range issues even with the unit and tags within six feet of each other. They worked good for about a year plus. The probes used on the water heater for water detection don’t have replaceable batteries. Some of the Battery contacts on the door sensors aren’t working. I am working with the owner to troubleshoot.

Huh…when I read the thread title, I assume Paul was asking at what temperature do you set your alarms. Now that I re-read, I think it was morning brain.
