TN: 15 latour martillac 03 malescot st exupery

Both from 375 and purchased on release. 1st bottle of martillac corked and n.r. 2nd bottle pale yellow, nose indicating good underlying acidity, lemon, stones and the commencement of waxiness. Light and airy in mouth but good body still with acidity mostly buried under the fruit. Good finish and nice match for steamed lobster.

Malescot by contrast has seen better days. Dark body, modestly overripe and heavyish nose, speaks more of the vintage than its place. Better on palate, juicy, full bodied and a good finish, but again too much 03 and not enough Margaux. Matched with flannery dry aged strips. I would be enjoying my 750s now if I had them.
