We have an interesting shop around the corner, about 50% of their wines fall roughly into the ‘natural’ bracket. Since we will be moving a bit of a walk away before too long I thought we should perform some experimentation. All were €9-12.
Top left - spritzy fresh strawberry and mint, very easy to drink, low alcohol, creamy and summery.
Top right - more classical Bordeaux, low oak, lively all plums and blueberry. Quite powerful.
Bottom left - this one was quirkiest, strong acidity and crunchy but ripe fruits.
Bottom right - easy going, slightly cloudy petnat, very low alcohol and soft acid citrus fruits.
Overall, a fun exploration!
