Is there a better Halloween wine than EMH Black Cat ?

Not in my cellar

2009 EMH Black Cat open and in the decanter. Already smells wonderful.

What are you drinking tonight ?

Happy Halloween everyone. Hopefully everyone in Sonoma is making there way back home and can enjoy a glass of wine.

Cheers

Ooh, great question!

I dunno yet!

Maybe a wine made by someone who is now dead. I’ll call it vino de los muertos.

Scarecrow is another obvious choice.

Ghost Dog or any of other Ghost wines?

Dead Arm
7 Deadly Zins
Ghost Horse
Spellbound

Vino de los muertos!! Love it

All good ones but would did you open ?

The Black Cat was singing after a 3 hour decant.

Yes, there are plenty of better wines to drink on Halloween. neener

Behrens & Hitchcock The Cemetery

Any white burgundy older than 10 years is a little scary

[stirthepothal.gif] All of the Prisoner Wines scare the hell out of me!!!

Not for the wine but the bottle fits the theme. Black Cat has to be #1 though.

Lol. I’m assuming Curtis was being cheeky and saying the Black Cat isn’t really a “scary” wine. It’s more cute. That’s how I read it and thought it was funny. I wouldn’t take offense.

My 2009 EMH Black Cat is, in my opinion, the best wine I have made. Particularly the Special Selection. Number 2 is the 2001, which is still showing strong.

Twisted Oak River of Skulls Mourvedre
e.g. Twisted Stuff - Twisted Oak

Loved the 09 Merrill and it’s still has a ton of life in it. I am supposed to have 1 of the Special Selection left but haven’t been able to find it in the cellar.
