NOSE: very ripe red fruits; no funk or pencil shavings; up-front fruit. Day 3 presentation was more savory and plummy.

BODY: dark violet-garnet color of great depth; medium-light to medium bodied.

TASTE: straightforward, with light-to-medium weight flavors; plum; savory; lightly tannic; 13.5% alc. not noticeable; approachable; not overblown; slight leather note after 1.75 hours open on Day 1; gut impression score on Day 1: 90. Even better on Day 3, with a more savory presentation. Drink or Hold. Great QPR at $23.
