NOSE: smells aged — stony and minty; hint of pizzelle; flowers that are just starting to rot; medium+ expressiveness.

BODY: some bricking throughout; medium-light bodied; some sediment present.

TASTE: good acidity; dark red fruits; hint of cedar; delicate; alc. not noticeable; thinning out; no tannins; probably a bit on the downside, or at the end of its prime window. gut impression score: 90. Drink Now.

Nice! Glad you got to it when you did. I have some 1995 Brunello but kind of forgot about them. Time to dig them out.

This was a recent-ish purchase from the affordable old/reserve room at Wine House; the $50 I paid seems about right.
