2010 J. Rochioli Pinot Noir River Block - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (1/3/2020)

Ripe, concentrated red berries — mostly raspberry. Medium bodied. Not tannic. Medium-low acidity. Still entirely primary, but it’s in a nice relaxed spot where, at least, the fruit is winning over the oak. Despite its ripe nature, this does barely hold a crisp edge. 14.5% alc. is fairly well-integrated. Drink now and over the next 5 years.
