Also, this particular code can be used over and over again (though it seems only to apply to in-stock wines).

If your taste inclines to 2016 Brunello, the following are decent deals (all prices are before the $100 off $500 discount):
Il Marroneto, 6 or more bottles, $80/bottle
Le Ragnaie, 6 or more bottles, $55/bottle
Poggio Landi, 6 or more bottles, $50/bottle
Talenti, 6 or more bottles, $45/bottle
Caparzo, $37.50/bottle (to help bring the total up to $500)

Thanks for the heads up. Went ahead with Frog's leap as it's one of my favs but with shipping and tax I think I broke even after the AMEX discount vs. retail. Still like ordering direct from the winery.D@ve D y r 0 f f wrote: ↑May 27th, 2022, 4:52 am A bunch of new winery direct offers just hit my Amex - Archery Summit, Seghesio, Frog's Leap, Seven Hills, Pine Ridge.

Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
I don’t see much. I’m on West Coast. I notice a significant reduction in merchants. Almost none of the east coast merchants that sell on Vivino are available because of my location. This is a change. Don’t know whether that’s a cost reduction for shipping or weather or something else.
Be careful about weather shipping when using Vivino. They won’t hold, not everyone offers ice packs

I'm seeing this too, never seen such limited inventory. I did notice that If I sorted looking for Champagne, there were only a few options. But when I searched specifically for Billercart's Cuvee Nicolas Francois, it popped up as available despite not showing previously. Same with Krug.MattG wrote: ↑May 28th, 2022, 9:02 am I don’t see much. I’m on West Coast. I notice a significant reduction in merchants. It's showing up on Citi / Mastercard Merchant Offers too, but those can be less reliable. Those do allow offers to be loaded on multiple cards though, unlike Amex which limits it to one per login, usually.

I don't have a Gold Card, but perhaps some here do, and use WDC

It seems like a really esoteric / niche perk, but that's the nature of the Amex coupon book now.

I agree that their shipping costs have become prohibitive. However, if you live near enough to DC, a possible workaround is:Kurt_L wrote: ↑June 3rd, 2022, 11:53 amGot fooled again by their shipping though! $58 to ship 2 bottles to MD??Diego Santos wrote: ↑June 3rd, 2022, 11:48 am Zachys having a 25-50-75-100 sale…some good stuff

1. Buy wine from Zachys NY, and choose "New York Fine Wine Storage" (free up to 90 days).
2. When you have accumulated 12 bottles (or any multiple of 12 bottles) in NY storage, have them ship it to Zachys DC on the next truck (they send out a truck at the end of each month). They charge $18/case to ship it, and you can then pick it up at Zachys DC at your leisure.

Piuze Blanchot and Laherte Crayers at $50 ain't bad. As Adam said, hold to accumulate larger quantities and Zachys shipping isn't terrible.
