FOOTBALL AND WINE

HELLO FRIENDS,

Are you having a dry January? Not I. I am looking forward to popping a cork during the NFL Playoffs! I would pair a Petite Sirah with The Forty-Niners. As for the Green Bay Packers…BEER and Cheese-Heads. In fact, I shall be toasting every touchdown the Niners score. ( Hoping for a High Score).
CHEERS,
THEOPATRA

No wines for football for me.
49ers for the win!

More importantly, what did you drink last night?!?

More importantly, what are you drinking right now?

Theodora - you should post more often!

In our house January is like any other month - nightly wine with dinner.

Petite Sirah huh? I’m thinking Zin, but not decided yet.

Montagia Wine, you fools!

I never drink wine with football.

I have shared my 1875 Madeira with the Chairman of the Niners at the stadium, so I will be rooting for them since my team is in the toilet . . . again.

FIFY

This is the playoffs Jay… Jets fans aren’t too familiar with the concept…

No dry January here. My birthday is this month, so no chance!

You can say their name and give them more power! (Jets, right?)

If you are a Rocket Fuel kind of guy - no wimpy Loire wines allowed - you want us to get to the playoffs. At Razor Blade stadium for the 2011 playoff game, admittedly antediluvian, we opened a lot of really good stuff. I think a Colgin and a Pahlmeyer. The last home playoff game we had, which was not just before the flood but before B’Reshit, we did not bother with wine. I made a gallon of hot chocolate with an entire bottle of Crown Royal added to it.
