So Rodney Strong had 500,000 x 750ml of cabernet in one storage tank?!

It’s crazy. That is literally 10 years of work at my current production levels in a single tank…

There are much worse things to spill in to a waterway. Red wine isn’t wonderful. Lots of little critters and vegetation that won’t thrive with 13%+ alcohol, coated in sticky acidic grape juice. Rough on the biota in the 0.5 mile swale before it hit the Russian River…where it probably diluted quickly. The good news is that it will definitely biodegrade, in weeks, rather than months or years.
