Burgundy/N. Rhone Tasting Notes

2017 Bruno Clair Marsannay Les Grasses Tetes (x2) - First bottle was PnP. No go. Just an alcoholic mess. Second bottle opened for 3-4 hours and was singing. Good fruit and some of that spice box on the nose that I love about Pinot.

2017 Alain Graillot Crozes-Hermitage Rouge (x2) - Both bottles pure awesomeness. Typical N. Rhone. Berries, smoke and tar. For the money its just fantastic. Could chug this all day.

2015 Vincent Paris Cornas Granit 60 - 14% alcohol and its clearly evident on the nose when opened. After about 4-5 hours of being opened the alcohol had worn off and the berry/tar was evident. Smooth on the palate. Needs a lot of time. Would not drink this again anytime soon.

2013 Guffens Macon-Pierreclos “Tri de Chavigne” - Was in the local store and shocked when I turned and saw this. William from WA had recently raved about this on his IG and I was intrigued. This was awesome. Minerally, stones, citrus, orange peel. Chuggable. Going back for more.
