1996 Domaine Marquis d’Angerville Volnay - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Volnay (3/28/2020)
A very savoury nose of game, blood, iron and earth. The fruit is of the cherry persuasion and quite crunchy. It is a strong village wine, with plenty of structure and a sweet, vinous core. It is still very fresh and finishes with a flex of sinewy muscle.
