TN: 2006 Scholium Project Gardens Of Babylon

Continuing to try a wide variety of wines as we stay locked down. Abe’s wines are always interesting and this is no exception. Starting to brick a touch at the rim, but still a nice dark red core. Nose has lots of red fruit, wild flowers, black pepper and just a hint of bacon. Quite tart on the palate, with lots of crunchy red fruit and fine tannins and a mouth puckering finish. Needs a little food to cut through the acid. Hasn’t budged much in 14 years.

In great vintages this wine really shines. Mostly Tenbrick PS I think.

Glenn - it was very reminiscent of a Thackery Pleiades field blend, which I also believe has a far amount of PS,

I always dig that wine too Jud. Hope y’all are well.

Glenn - we are fine. Still hoping to make it out to Bandon some time - let me know if you make it back this way after we hopefully get done with this craziness.
